Job Characteristics Assignment

Q Assignment Instructions Using the Job Characteristics Model in Chapter 6 how would you design a job for a college student? You should study Figure 6.2 as well as the information about autonomy and feedback to create the job description of being a student. The written paper should present the following sections and should be at least 600 words written in college-level writing skills: • Skill Variety: (describe the skills that students for this class and how they will be used) • Task Identity: (describe what quality products/assignments a student is going to produce with her/his name on the prod-ucts) • Task Significance: (analyze the assignments that are required and describe the significance of those assignments/tasks for success in the future) • Autonomy: (classify those tasks that allow a student to be in control of his/her work within the class and then describe those actions that a student controls that contribute to her/his success) • Feedback; (indicate the instances when feedback is given and evaluate the value of the feedback) • Next, analyze your model and tell why you would take this class model that you created. A student's opinion without justification from the content of the text to support that student is just a personal opinion with no validation by an authority such as the research of the authors of the text. In instances when students state, "In my opinion" or "These tasks from my work are reasons..." then the student is giving a personal opinion that is not substantiated (proved) by a published authoritative resource such as the text for this course. Direct quotations followed by a parenthetical citation have to be used to support student opinions, views, conclusions, and/or answers. An example of a direct quotation followed by a parenthetical citation is the following: "Organizational behavior (OB) is defined as the systematic study and application of knowledge about how individuals and groups act within the organizations where they work." (Bauer and Ergodon, page 6) If there is no direct quotation and/or correct parenthetical citation, then points are deducted for lack of direct quotations and lack of parenthetical citations.
